Quick review of Lime Crime Alchemy Collection

Yay! A quick review of the Lime Crime Alchemy collection. Though I haven't had the chance to play with the palette too much yet the colors swatched super smoothely and had intense pigmentation! The colors are different.. I own more makeup than any girl could ever need and I can honestly say I do not have a dupe for this amazing burnt orange! SO PRETTY! Poison Plum lipstick is just as beautiful as I imagined. I am quite pale but I still like the dramatic color. I may lighten it up a bit for everyday wear but.. It's gorgeous. I am not the type to wear anything out of the normal Nude/Red/Pink/Purple families of lip shades so Serpentina may not be an everyday wear for me. THOUGH it's beautiful and hs me dreaming of photo shoots and costumes I could use it with. Shimmery green goodness!

I also picked up the Sweet Antoinette Lip Stick Trio! Coquette is mine at last! and Great Pink Planet! two of the shades I could not wait to get. Though I already had Countessa Flouressant I opted to get the trio anyway. I do love the color, so didn't an extra (and only for a few dollars!)

Bottom line: if you love lime crime, you will not be let down. I believe this palette is great for fall and winter. The colors are a step away from the Lime Crime norm but it's a good step only in the way that it's offering more variety. I am a huge fan of all the other Lime Crime palettes and am glad I chose to also purchase this one. Be sure to snag the limited edition set before October is over! It's like getting a free lipstick and a discount on the other!

Lime Crime Lipstick Review

(Some of my new Lime Crime Lipsticks!)

When I won one of the bonus prizes from the Aquataenia Mermaid Makeup Contest I received one of Lime Crime's lipsticks in the shade Airborne Unicorn. I have never been HUGE on lip products. To be honest.. Most lipsticks or Lipglosses left my lips feeling.. Sweaty? Haha. That sounds gross but it's true. It's an unpleasant feeling. BUT! I had heard so many great things about Lime Crime's Lipsticks that I was pretty excited to try it.

I FELL IN LOVE!

FINALLY! A lipstick that doesn't drive me crazy and is available in nearly every color you could possibly ask for! They have a opaque matte finish which is perfect. You can always gloss up a matte finish but it's hard to matte a glossy finish. I hope that makes sense haha. The point is: they smell nice, the color is beautiful, and they have staying power. What else could you want in a lipstick?! 

The colors I have tried are: Airborne Unicorn, Glamour 101, Retrofuturist, Centrifuschia, and Countessa Florescent.

Lime Crime has decided to discontinue their Magic Dust!

I found it frustrating the lack of swatches out there for the Magic Dust! I couldn't decide to purchase them or not in the first place.. But going to enough blogs and googling like a mad woman I found swatches of most of them. 

I snagged what was left from their site when they went 40% off (they are not 50% off)!! Then decided I was on a quest to complete my collection while I still could! It probably balanced out honestly after having to hunt down the last 6 colors I didn't have. My orders were cancelled twice because they were out of stock from other sellers on Amazon and Ebay. I guess I was not the only one in a frantic mission to find them! I did snag two from a seller on Amazon, and the last 4 from Bloom.Com (which arrived today)!
